About Us
Our Vision
Our desire is that every elderly person in our care is treasured as a valuable member
of our community and that they are able to live comfortably in the last years of
their lives at an affordable price.
Our Mission
We aim to create awareness and instil a shared love in others for the elderly.
This will aid in growing our community and providing the necessary means to provide a comfortable, joyful home for our current and future residents.
The PFRA Residence
PFRA is a private, non-profit, home for the aged, it is over 100 years old and has been functioning as a registered NPO under a board of directors for many years. The PFRA was inherited by NCF Church in 2001.
The home is situated at the top of Jabu Ndlovu Street (Loop Street) in a fitting, old, Maritzburg, brick-face building, and has been called home by many elderly people over the years.
The PFRA has up to 18 residents at a time. Our community members pay a small monthly fee for comfortable accommodation and nutritious meals. Our residence relies on public funding or sponsorships to cover
additional costs.
Our Community
We are related to One Life Church, many of our staff
members, residents and volunteers are devoted Christians
who love the Lord and others. Our residents attend church
as regularly as possible, and enjoy Bible studies
together during the week.
As followers of Jesus we believe that building strong communities and serving one another are important.
We encourage other christians to get involved
in the PFRA community if they feel compelled.
